Location: Remote within the European Union (EU)
Work Model: 100% Remote (EU-based) with mandatory travel to Saudi Arabia (15 days up to 3 months, depending on project needs)

What You'll Do
As a Microwave Network Designer, you will be responsible for designing, validating, and optimizing Microwave transmission networks that support large-scale telecommunications infrastructures.
Your responsibilities will include:
Design High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) Microwave network solutions.
Perform link budget calculations, path analysis, and frequency planning.
Analyze RF propagation, Line-of-Sight (LoS), and interference scenarios.
Ensure end-to-end consistency between Microwave and Transport network architectures.
Validate technical feasibility through site surveys and design verification.
Support deployment and rollout teams during implementation.
Investigate and troubleshoot transmission and network performance issues.
Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for Microwave link failures and degradations.
Ensure accurate network documentation and engineering data.
Support integration between Microwave, OSS, IP/MPLS, and transport systems.
Monitor network KPIs including throughput, availability, latency, and error rates.
Recommend improvements to engineering standards and design methodologies.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality network delivery.
Mandatory Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience designing Microwave (MW) transmission networks.
Strong experience with:
Microwave Link Design
Link Budget Calculation
Frequency Planning
Solid knowledge of:
RF Propagation
Line-of-Sight (LoS) Analysis
Interference Management
Good understanding of end-to-end Transport Network Architecture:
Microwave
IP/MPLS
Synchronization
Experience integrating Microwave networks with OSS and Transport/Core environments.
Hands-on experience with Microwave planning tools such as:
Pathloss
Atoll
ICS Telecom
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Experience identifying design issues affecting network availability and capacity.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Availability and willingness to travel to Saudi Arabia (mandatory).
English B2 or above.
Nice to Have
Experience with synchronization technologies:
SyncE
IEEE 1588v2
Previous experience in large-scale international telecommunications projects.
Knowledge of network performance optimization and engineering best practices.
