Job Summary
Langan is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join its collaborative team in Parsippany, NJ. This individual will serve a key function in providing day-to-day accounting services including preparation of account analysis, budgeting and forecasting, contribution reporting, weekly, monthly, and quarterly metric reporting, and assistance with compiling operational financial reports. In this role, you will have the opportunity to be involved in special project requests that support operational success.
Job Responsibilities
Prepares assigned weekly, monthly and quarterly analyses, with a specific focus on contribution reporting, chargeability, billability and revenue/billing analysis;
Prepares various schedules and financial reports to support quarterly contribution reporting to shareholders, and for the compilation of annual budgets and projections of the balance sheet and income statement;
Prepares schedules for metric and key performance indicators to support annual compensation bonus reviews;
Develops and maintains databases and reporting tools to query for financial data and trends;
Assists with the monthly cash reconciliation and compilation of the monthly financial packages, including the accrual income statement and key financial metrics;
Supports monthly and quarterly closes and financial reporting;
Participates in completing requests to support the annual financial audit, overhead audit, and other external audits as they are scheduled; and
Performs other duties as requested.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, CPA and/or MBA preferred;
5+ years of experience in financial analysis and/or accounting;
Expertise in Microsoft Excel and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and PowerPoint;
Understanding of accounting procedures and general knowledge of monthly accounting close procedures, account and bank reconciliation;
Excellent organizational and time management skills;
Knowledge of SAP and/or Deltek Vision software preferred;
Ability to maintain confidentiality;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, problem solving, multitasking, and judgment capabilities; and
Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment.

Compensation
