Job Description:

About Us

We are an employee-owned, multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm serving clients across North America and beyond. Our team of engineers, scientists, technologists and support staff is dedicated to excellence in engineering and project management.

We believe a commitment to lasting relationships is just as critical as the expertise applied in our work. To us that means we put our people first. From professional development opportunities to an open, flexible and collaborative work environment, a career at KGS is like no other.

Working with us means you’ll be part of some of the most interesting projects across Canada, the U.S. and beyond. We believe we set our own boundaries by what we’re willing to attempt and strive to push the limit on what’s possible. That’s the KGS way.

The Role

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Structural Department with a focus on the Buildings and Spaces market in our Winnipeg office. As KGS Group continues to develop strong technical delivery teams, we are looking to support our teams with focused project management support. This role would include day-to-day project management tasks, scheduling and contract administration, management of priorities, and deliverable tracking. You will be working in a friendly and collaborative environment with the opportunity to interface directly with clients and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

Provide project services support – proposal preparation, scheduling, estimating, procurement support, technical administration

Write and issue project communications: emails, memos, reports, etc

Develop or modify project commercial documents and participate in procurement processes

Project-related field services such as inspection, auditing, supervision, quality assurance, safety, and contractor management

Office-related construction services such as invoice review and payment certification, schedule updates, permitting submissions, etc

Leveraging both training and experience, provide or coordinate multi-disciplinary technical and constructability review of drawings, specifications, work plans, etc.

It is not anticipated that the Project Manager will be asked to conduct engineering design and seal deliverables such as drawings, etc. That said, the project manager should have a very strong technical background in engineering and construction so that they can provide value to both internal and external clients in terms of non-design technical advice, drawing review, project scoping, and project execution

Provide mentorship to junior project managers, project engineers, project coordinators, and administrative staff

Champion and lead project management-related and/or multidiscipline engineering pursuits

Support business development/marketing and proposal writing efforts

Travel to work sites may be required periodically as needed

About You

Ability to travel and service multiple concurrent project sites within Manitoba

Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently, and within tight timelines
