Cloud System Architect

At Verisure, technology is a key enabler of our growth and innovation. We are expanding our Cloud and Infrastructure capabilities and are looking for a Cloud System Architect to help drive the next phase of our cloud transformation.

In this role, you will be responsible for defining, evolving, and governing cloud architecture across AWS and Azure, ensuring scalable, secure, and efficient solutions that support both our IoT platforms and business-critical systems. You will work at the intersection of architecture, operations, and transformation, collaborating closely with Cloud, Platform, Network, Security, and Engineering teams across our global organization.

This is a highly visible role with significant influence on technology decisions, cloud governance, operational excellence, and the adoption of modern engineering practices.

What you'll do

As a System Architect, you will:

Define and evolve cloud architecture standards, principles, and roadmaps across AWS and Azure.

Lead the architecture and implementation of complex cloud initiatives, ensuring alignment with business and technology objectives.

Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders on cloud strategy, modernization initiatives, risk management, and cost optimization.

Collaborate with Network, Security, and Infrastructure teams to support enterprise-wide transformation programs.

Drive automation, scalability, resilience, and operational excellence across cloud environments.

Champion DevOps ways of working and promote continuous improvement across IT Operations and Engineering teams.

Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to engineers and architects.

Ensure effective project planning, stakeholder communication, risk management, and successful delivery of cloud initiatives.

What we're looking for

Experience & Qualifications

University degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related field.

10+ years of experience in technology-focused roles, with at least three of them as Cloud Architect, infrastructure Architect, or Senior DevOps Engineer.

Strong expertise in designing and operating cloud solutions in AWS and/or Azure.

Experience with cloud governance, landing zones, networking, security, automation, and infrastructure modernization.

Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives and influence technical decisions.

Experience working with Agile delivery methodologies.

Cloud certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Professional Cloud Architect.

Fluency in English and Spanish.
