About The Role
FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Lead Finance Data Analyst to work for our client within the insurance sector. This is initially a 6-month contract with strong potential for extension and will be a hybrid role based in London, with a minimum of 1 day per week in the office.
Our client is seeking a Lead Finance Data Analyst to support a major transformation programme and the rollout of a new enterprise data platform. The role will focus on translating finance requirements into data-driven solutions, supporting the development of finance reporting capabilities, and helping deliver high-quality finance data products that support reporting, governance and business decision-making.
Responsibilities:
Lead finance-focused data analysis activities in support of the transformation programme and data platform rollout.
Translate finance requirements into analytical solutions, data products and reporting capabilities.
Define, document and validate finance data use cases, requirements and data models.
Work closely with Finance stakeholders, Data Engineering, Analytics and Architecture teams to deliver business outcomes.
Support current IFRS reporting requirements and help shape future-state reporting solutions.
Develop SQL queries to analyse data, support reporting and generate business insights.
Ensure data governance, data quality and reporting standards are maintained throughout delivery.
About You
Strong finance or accountancy background, ideally within the insurance sector.
Experience working with finance data, reporting ecosystems and data platforms.
Strong knowledge of IFRS reporting and finance processes.
Experience with Phinsys is highly desirable.
Advanced SQL skills, including designing and writing queries for analysis and reporting.
Experience gathering requirements and managing senior stakeholders.
Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies, data governance and data quality practices.
Requirements-definition experience within transformation programmes.
