Salary range from $113,574 to $125,720 plus super and leave loading

EnergyCo NSW is spearheading the transition to renewable energy to deliver clean electricity to the people of NSW as coal-fired power stations near closure.

About the Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity to join EnergyCo’s Community Outcomes team and contribute to the delivery of the NSW Government’s Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap. You will play a key role in delivering initiatives that maximise community and employment outcomes associated with major energy infrastructure projects. Working across government, industry and local communities, you will support the design, implementation and coordination of programs that ensure regional communities benefit from the energy transition.

In this dynamic and fast-paced environment, you will contribute to policy and program development, provide strategic and operational support and help drive coordinated, high-quality outcomes across multiple projects and stakeholders. From preparing high-level briefs and reports to tracking project delivery, this role offers strong exposure to government processes and is an excellent entry point into the energy sector.

This role is based in Sydney CBD, however we also encourage candidates from regional areas to apply.

About You

You are a highly motivated and capable professional with strong communication skills and a proven ability to manage projects and deliver high-quality outcomes. Ideally, you bring experience in grants administration and/or government environments, with a solid understanding of policy development and stakeholder engagement. A fast learner and high performer, you are comfortable working across multiple priorities and contributing to both strategic and operational objectives.

You have a keen eye for detail and the ability to synthesise information into clear, concise advice for a range of audiences. Your organisational skills, proactive mindset and ability to collaborate effectively will see you thrive in this role. Experience in project management and grants is highly regarded, along with exposure to government processes and frameworks.

Essential Requirements

Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience

Demonstrated experience in providing project management and operational support

Who we are?

The Energy Corporation of NSW (EnergyCo) is a statutory corporation established under the Energy and Utilities Administration Act 1987 and governed by its Board, appointed by the Minister for Energy. EnergyCo is a Staff Agency employing all EnergyCo staff and is an agency related to the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW).

EnergyCo plays a pivotal role in the NSW Government’s Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap, which aims to transform the state’s electricity system into one that is cheap, clean, and reliable. As Infrastructure Planner under the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020, EnergyCo is responsible for leading the delivery of the State’s first five Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) and the first two priority transmission infrastructure projects (PTIPs), which are located in the Central-West Orana, New England, South West, Hunter-Central Coast, and Illawarra regions. We work closely with communities, investors, and industry to investigate, plan, recommend and coordinate generation, storage and network infrastructure projects.
