Vertiv are seeking to recruit an ambitious and motivated Engineering Student to join our team at our plant in Burnfoot, Donegal.

You will be in full time third level education where you must take a 1 year placement in industry. There will also be the opportunity to work over the summer at the end of Y2 to gain some experience in our Burnfoot plant.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Department Head this position presents an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to the Mechanical Design / Product Development design aspects of Busbar and contribute to product improvements of same.

The main remit of the role will involve working with senior Mechanical Design engineers and the Busbar Product manager in the preparation of detailed mechanical drawings and documentation for Busbar and other support functions for this part of the business.

QUALIFICATIONS

Be enrolled in a third level Engineering course with a bias towards Mechanical Engineering

An understanding of Engineering Design Principles.

Working knowledge and experience with 3D modelling and 2D drafting of product designs.

Experience with MS Office packages: Outlook, Word, Excel, etc

Standing for long periods.
