Staff Accountant

JoVE is looking for an Staff Accountant to handle day-to-day accounting duties, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and billing. This position will give you the opportunity to grow your career in accounting.

Responsibilities:

Process invoices and daily transactions

Update and maintain the accounting database. Check postings and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes

Issue invoices to customers as required

Perform bookkeeping services

Conduct bank reconciliations

Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field of study

Bookkeeping, AR and/or AP experience is a must

Hands-on experience working with MS Excel & accounting software like QuickBooks

Highly organized and strong attention to detail

Strong follow through skills

Good verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work independently
