Main purpose of the role:

We’re looking for a proactive, highly organised Yard Operations Supervisor to lead the day‑to‑day operation of our Southampton site. You’ll be the driving force behind safe, efficient vehicle flow, accurate stock control, and a motivated, high‑performing yard team. Working closely with the Operations Manager, you’ll ensure our yard runs smoothly, safely, and in line with all agreed processes and production routes.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate all vehicle storage, parking, and movement across the yard to meet operational requirements.

Ensure vehicles enter and leave the site in line with scheduled delivery and collection times.

Maintain accurate documentation and vehicle locations, supporting efficient workflow and SLA compliance.

Uphold Health & Safety standards for all colleagues and visitors, preventing accidents and ensuring safe working practices.

Support, train and develop yard staff, deputising for the Yard Manager when required and resolving issues promptly.

Knowledge and Experience Required

Full Valid UK Driving Licence.

Previous team leader or supervisory experience within a yard, logistics, automotive or similar operational environment.

Ability to work independently, make effective decisions under time pressure, and maintain high standards.

Confident using IT systems, including Microsoft Office and handheld devices.

Positive, proactive attitude with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
