Skills and Competencies
8-12 years of sales and relationship experience within (re)insurance and (re)insurance broking, with a proven track record of building senior-level client relationships
Strong market network in Singapore and a deep understanding of market drivers, trends, and the competitive landscape for P&C underwriting and exposure management products
Experience in publishing thought leadership through research, publications, and speaking engagements
Proven ability to develop and maintain a strong network of clients, foster deep relationships with risk professionals, and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape in P&C underwriting and exposure management
Clear written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to senior stakeholders (e.g., CUOs, CEOs, CROs)
Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use
Education
Undergraduate/first-level degree (e.g., Bachelor’s degree)
Graduate/second-level degree preferred (e.g., MBA, Master’s, or Ph.D.)
Solid understanding of insurance; CII qualification is ideal
Responsibilities
Build Moody’s presence in the Southeast Asia insurance market by identifying growth opportunities across the value chain (brokers, insurers, reinsurers)
Develop and nurture a network of senior stakeholders, connecting them with Moody’s executive leadership and fostering long-term partnerships
Conduct proactive outreach through self-initiated meetings, client advisory boards, and event participation to deepen relationships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 client organizations
Collaborate with sales, product, and marketing teams to drive Moody’s market engagement strategy and showcase its vision, capabilities, and expertise
Source new opportunities through client networking, industry events, and market intelligence, while referring potential leads to the sales team
Work closely with the product management team to understand the latest offerings and share actionable market feedback
Represent Moody’s at key industry events, conferences, and associations to reach, visibility, and influence in the market
Partner with the marketing team to implement a robust outreach plan, including PR campaigns, speaking engagements, and thought leadership publications
Screen opportunities, analyze risk/reward trade-offs, and support the manager in developing strategies to accelerate go-to-market success
Travel approximately 50% of the time to engage with clients and participate in key market events
