Engineering Manager – Mechanical & Electrical (MEP)

About the role

MEP is delivering building / infrastructure projects across NSW and is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the mechanical and electrical (M&E/MEP) engineering function on major projects in Sydney.

You will manage the M&E design, coordination and delivery process - ensuring building services are well-coordinated, compliant, and delivered on time for construction - and lead coordination across the project team, consultants and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

Lead M&E combined-services and builder’s works drawing preparation through to construction-ready status.

Manage the BIM coordination process using a Common Data Environment (e.g. Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360) and tools such as Revit and Navisworks to resolve clashes, routing and design issues and run code-standards checks.

Chair M&E coordination meetings and lead walkthroughs with subcontractors.

Coordinate with clients, consultants and the architectural and structural disciplines to meet design and contract requirements.

Oversee space-proofing, equipment-delivery methodology and installation-sequence drawings (2D and 3D).

Monitor project drawings, technical data and documentation through design, construction and handover.

Skills and experience

Tertiary qualification in mechanical, electrical, building services or a related engineering discipline.

Substantial experience managing M&E/MEP engineering on major building or infrastructure projects.

Strong BIM capability (Revit, Navisworks; CDE platforms).

Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary coordination and delivering to a construction programme.

Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Pay: $135,000.00 – $170,000.00 per year
