Supply Chain Synchronization Planner
Location: São Paulo, São Bernardo do Campo
Job Summary:
As a Supply Chain Synchronization Planner at Colgate-Palmolive for, you will be responsible for creating and analyzing distribution plans to ensure optimal inventory levels at distribution centers. This role is crucial in achieving timely product replenishment, minimizing stock outs or overstock situations, and maintaining optimally balanced inventory across the network. The planner will manage movements across the network, define truck load building rules, and execute planning cycle priorities to synchronize supply with demand effectively.
Responsibilities:
Own and manage the Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) for a product segment, ensuring the efficient flow of products from plants to distribution centers
Review system generated Distribution Requirements plan and utilize system alerts to identify and resolve supply shortages, overstock situations, and fast tracks promptly
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to close gaps and achieve efficient, cost-effective supply planning
Ensure product availability at distribution centers while maintaining right-sized inventory levels established by the Supply Chain Synchronization Lead utilizing Multi-echelon Inventory Optimization (MEIO)
Execute "Best Practice" supply planning processes to maximize customer service, minimize cost, and optimize inventory
Support continuous improvement initiatives by developing and implementing best practices related to replenishment and inventory management
Communicate inventory plans and projections to other planners and management
Rebalance the network to maintain balanced inventory across all locations
Define and implement truck loading optimization (TLO) rules and logic (E.g. preferred modes) and manage exceptions
Support the Supply Chain Synchronization Leader in optimizing the balance of service versus cost and managing and mitigating risks
Support the Supply Chain Sync Leader in analysis for inventory allocation and demand prioritization decisions, identifying potential alternate supply to address shortages
Accountable for Weekly/ Monthly review of Key Performance Indicators with leadership and root cause for any misses
Manage relevant master data and capacity inputs ensuring good data drives planning
Conduct regular meetings, manage orders, production exceptions with internal stakeholders to align on projected manufacturing needs and timely delivery.
Utilize scenario planning capabilities to proactively identify disruptions in the distribution plan and provide solutions to resolve alongside anticipated impacts
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline
Experience in supply chain planning, with a knowledge of distribution and deployment planning
Advanced English
Desirable Requirements:
Proficiency in network optimization, multi-echelon inventory optimization, allocation planning, deployment planning, root cause analysis
Expected Areas of Skills:
Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP ECC/ SAP S4Hana
Proficiency with Advance Planning Solutions such as SAP APO, Kinaxis, etc.
Strong supply chain acumen with holistic understanding of end to end supply chain connectivity
Understanding of core planning master data and their interdependencies
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to navigate through ambiguity and drive data backed decisions
Effective time management and prioritization skills to meet deadlines
Capacity to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Independence and cross-functional collaboration skills
Working Relationships:
Report to the Supply Chain Synchronization Leaders Collaborate closely with Production Planners and Demand Planners
Engage with stakeholders across the organization to support distribution planning and supply chain decision-making
Travel Requirements:
Up to 10% travel may be required.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to work in a standard office environment and occasionally visit the plant floor and warehouse areas.
