The Role Our client is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the Maintenance and Reliability vertical for a large factory. This critical role ensures the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of plant, equipment, and services to support the site’s short- and long-term goals.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading and mentoring a high-performing engineering team

Overseeing preventative and breakdown maintenance to maximise plant availability

Managing the site engineering budget, including capital expenditure projects

Ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, and food quality regulations

Driving a culture of continuous improvement through process optimisation and innovation

Managing the design, installation, and commissioning of new equipment

Collaborating with internal teams and external contractors to enhance operational efficiency

Skills & Experience To excel in this role, you will bring:

Proven leadership experience in maintenance and reliability within food manufacturing or a similar industrial setting

Strong knowledge of engineering principles, plant operations, and asset management

Experience in managing budgets, CAPEX projects, and regulatory compliance

A track record of implementing preventative maintenance programs and driving operational improvements

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Commitment to workplace safety, environmental sustainability, and governance best practices
