Senior Software Architect & Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Senior Software Architect / Senior Developer to design, build, and guide the development of our next-generation market infrastructure for fund distribution, leveraging cloud-native, microservice, and blockchain/DLT technologies.

This hybrid role combines deep architectural leadership with pragmatic, high-quality engineering. As a senior technical authority, you will define architectural patterns, mentor engineers, participate in code design and delivery, and ensure our software platform is scalable, secure, and future-proof.

The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a strong coder, comfortable making architecture decisions while contributing directly to implementation, technical reviews, and continuous improvement across squads.

Your responsibilities include

Architecture & Technical Leadership

Define, evolve, and maintain the technical architecture of a complex cloud-native, microservice-based platform.

Drive key architectural decisions, ensuring alignment with product vision, scalability needs, and regulatory requirements.

Produce architectural diagrams, reference designs, integration patterns, and API/interface definitions.

Partner closely with the Product Architect to ensure technical design matches functional domain models.

Hands-On Design & Development

Contribute directly to development of core services, components, and libraries in the platform.

Lead complex feature implementations, ensuring code quality, testability, and performance.

Review code, mentor developers, and drive best practices across teams.

Provide expert guidance on system design, data flows, resilience strategies, and performance optimization.

Cloud-Native Engineering & DevOps Collaboration

Support the adoption of cloud-native best practices such as containerization, service mesh, IaC, and observability.

Collaborate with DevOps to optimize CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and runtime configurations.

Ensure that infrastructure and application design supports high availability, automated scaling, and robust monitoring.

Blockchain / DLT Integration

Design and support integration points between on-chain and off-chain services (smart contracts, event listeners, tokenization flows).

Collaborate with blockchain engineers and Product Architects to ensure consistent, auditable, and performant DLT interactions.

Support long-term evolution of blockchain usage and its alignment with business needs.

Security, Compliance & Quality

Champion secure-by-design principles, encryption patterns, access control models, and auditability.

Conduct threat modelling, identify potential vulnerabilities, and guide remediation strategies.

Ensure development practices meet the reliability, resilience, and regulatory expectations of financial market infrastructure.

Cross-Team Collaboration & Mentoring

Act as a senior technical partner to Product Owners, Business Analysts, and QA engineers.

Mentor junior and mid-level developers, promoting strong engineering culture and continuous learning.

Assist in troubleshooting complex production issues and conducting root-cause analyses.

Support alignment across squads when implementing cross-cutting features or shared components.

Key skills

Strong proficiency in one or more backend languages (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Scala, Go, Rust, Node.js, or similar).

Expertise in cloud-native architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and distributed systems.

Solid experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, APIs (REST/GraphQL), and messaging systems.

Good understanding of blockchain/DLT concepts, smart contracts, and integration patterns (highly preferred).

Strong understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases, data modeling, and performance optimization.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and observability tooling.

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex technical challenges.

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Required experience

7–12+ years of software engineering experience, including several years in senior or lead roles.

Proven experience designing and delivering complex distributed systems in cloud-native environments.

Hands-on experience implementing microservices at scale, ideally in fintech or financial services.

Prior exposure to blockchain/DLT systems is a strong advantage.

Demonstrated ability to combine architectural thinking with hands-on coding and technical design.

Experience mentoring engineers and influencing engineering practices across multiple teams.

Experience working in Agile, multi-squad environments with strong delivery cadence.
