Job Description

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for enterprise web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Robot Framework, Python, Selenium/Playwright, ConformIQ, and Perfecto cloud testing. This role will focus on building reliable automated test solutions, integrating quality gates into CI/CD pipelines, and driving continuous improvement in software quality through modern Quality Engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

Test Automation Development

Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test suites using Robot Framework and Python.

Build and enhance UI automation frameworks using Selenium and/or Playwright, ensuring reliable cross-browser compatibility.

Develop reusable automation components including custom libraries, keywords, page objects, utilities, and framework enhancements.

Implement scalable automation solutions that support functional, regression, and end-to-end testing.

Cloud & Device Testing

Execute and manage web and mobile application testing using Perfecto cloud-based devices and browser infrastructure.

Integrate Perfecto executions with existing automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.

Ensure comprehensive test coverage across multiple browsers, operating systems, and mobile devices.

Model-Based Testing

Design, generate, and maintain model-based test assets using ConformIQ.

Create automated test cases from business models while maintaining traceability to functional requirements.

Collaborate with business analysts and development teams to ensure complete test coverage and model accuracy.

Continuous Integration & Quality Engineering

Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and automated quality gates.

Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to improve deployment quality and release confidence.

Maintain automated execution reports, dashboards, and quality metrics for project stakeholders.

Contribute to shift-left testing practices and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Defect Analysis & Collaboration

Analyze automation failures, investigate root causes, and work closely with development teams to resolve defects.

Maintain test environments, automation infrastructure, and test data to ensure reliable execution.

Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Contribute to estimation, automation strategy, process improvements, and quality engineering best practices.

Quality Standards & Documentation

Ensure automation code adheres to established coding standards, design principles, and maintainability guidelines.

Maintain automation documentation, framework guides, and execution procedures.

Promote reusable automation solutions and continuous improvement across QA teams.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Strong experience in software test automation for enterprise applications.

Hands-on expertise with Robot Framework and Python.

Experience developing UI automation using Selenium and/or Playwright.

Experience with ConformIQ or other model-based testing tools.

Hands-on experience executing automated tests on Perfecto cloud devices and browsers.

Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum software development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with API test automation using REST APIs, Postman/Newman, Python Requests library, or Robot Framework Requests.

Knowledge of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices using Gherkin or similar frameworks.

Experience working with Docker containers and environment orchestration.

Exposure to accessibility, performance, or security testing as part of automated testing strategies.

Familiarity with reporting tools such as Allure, Robot Framework Reports, or custom dashboard solutions.
