A Day in the Life
As a Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing all technical, field, financial, and administrative aspects of community ambient air monitoring projects. The Project Manager is expected to exercise sound professional judgment and function with minimal direct supervision.
The compensation range for this role is $38hr to $44hr.
To thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:
Operate and maintain ambient air quality monitoring networks.
Perform routine calibrations and troubleshooting measures on air quality instrumentation.
Write and/or assist in the submittal of monitoring reports.
Coordinate all aspects of client projects, including, but not limited to, method research, equipment procurement and rental, travel arrangements, logistics, SOP generation and implementation.
Establish, oversee, and manage project deadlines, in addition to effectively communicating updates to clients and team members.
Manage client expectations.
Determine initial and final pricing structures for invoicing to meet budget goals, and in consideration of objective to cultivate and foster long-term client relationships.
Instruct and guide any personnel under their supervision to ensure safe, efficient, expedient, and cost-effective project execution.
Identify quality assurance issues and/or identify solutions to quality assurance issues.
Experience managing client relationships and overseeing client projects, including budgeting and managing project costs.

Ability to travel up to 50%
Relevant college diploma or university degree in a science-related field or equivalent
First aid and CPR training (preferred)
Minimum 5+ years of experience conducting ambient projects in the field.
Demonstrated understanding of laboratory QA/QC procedures
Experience managing client relationships and overseeing client projects, including budgeting and managing project costs
Proficient in communicating at all levels of the organization
Possess good organizational and scheduling skills and have the ability to prioritize
Flexibility to work weekends and afterhours if necessary
Proficient in using Microsoft Office products: Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook

Overhead lifting of over 20 pounds
Often works outdoors and may be exposed to hot and cold environments and extreme weather conditions, including sunlit, rainy and windy conditions
While performing the duties of this job, this position may require the individual to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
Standby and on-call duty may be required
Ability to climb stairs, ladders
