Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior SQL Developer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Ukraine. Our client is a prominent GovTech company offering a cloud-based ERP solution for local governments and municipalities throughout the United States.
You'll optimize reporting databases for a legacy application. Also, you will partner closely with a Tableau Developer to improve data retrieval and overall reporting performance for high-value business reports.
The contract is for 6 months, with an option to extend.
REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of experience in SQL Server (2022 / T-SQL) development.
Strong understanding of SQL Server performance tuning.
Experience optimizing reporting databases.
In-depth understanding of stored procedures, views, indexing, joins, and temporary tables.
Experience analyzing and optimizing query execution plans.
Expertise in identifying the most efficient solution for complex SQL performance issues.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
NICE TO HAVE
Experience supporting Tableau reporting environments.
Experience working with legacy applications.
Familiarity with Data Warehousing concepts (current environment does not have a Data Warehouse).
RESPONSIBILITIES
Optimize SQL Server databases for reporting workloads.
Develop and optimize SQL views and stored procedures.
Design and maintain indexes to improve query performance.
Optimize joins, temporary tables, and query execution.
Identify the best technical solution for performance bottlenecks.
Work closely with the Tableau Developer to optimize report data retrieval.
