AI Software Engineer

TXT InfraWise is an innovative startup and spin-off of Politecnico di Milano, as well as part of the TXT Group, specializing in the development of advanced solutions for monitoring and managing critical infrastructures such as bridges, viaducts, and tunnels. Through proprietary IoT/OT platforms, advanced algorithms, and AI-native technologies, the company develops predictive systems for real-time analysis of the structural health of civil infrastructures, transforming academic research into practical solutions that enhance safety and territorial resilience.

TXT InfraWise is looking to hire two professionals for the roles of AI Software Engineer – Advanced and AI Software Engineer – Professional.

The selected candidates will be responsible for developing, integrating, and maintaining software applications with Artificial Intelligence capabilities, ensuring product quality, reliability, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:AI Software Engineer – Advanced:

Participate in the technical definition and implementation of solutions, ensuring code quality, security, and scalability;

Develop backend and frontend components and services, with a focus on reusability and long-term maintainability;

Collaborate with AI/ML Engineers and Data Scientists to industrialize AI solutions;

Manage deployments, logging, monitoring, and application maintenance.

Additional Responsibilities for the AI Software Engineer – Professional

Support junior colleagues in their technical growth and ensure compliance with architectural guidelines defined by the Solution Architect;

Apply and promote DevOps and Lean practices, contributing to the standardization and automation of development processes;

Collaborate with analysts and business stakeholders to refine requirements and translate them into effective application solutions.

Required Technical Skills:AI Software Engineer – Advanced:

Good knowledge of Python and JavaScript/TypeScript programming languages;

Knowledge of Go is considered a plus;

Good understanding of modern development environments, version control systems (Git), and CI/CD pipelines;

Understanding of the fundamental principles of AI/ML and model integration;

Knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-native architectures;

Ability to work effectively in agile and multidisciplinary environments;

Good command of the English language;

Experience working on highly scalable digital products is considered a plus.

Additional Requirements for the AI Software Engineer – Professional:

In addition to the skills listed above, candidates should have:

Excellent knowledge of Python and JavaScript/TypeScript programming languages;

Excellent understanding of AI/ML fundamentals and model integration;

Extensive experience in designing and consuming RESTful APIs, handling HTTP requests, and using WebSockets;

Good experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructures.

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

For the Advanced role, the annual gross salary range is between EUR 27.000 and EUR 30.000;

For the Professional role, the annual gross salary range is between EUR 39.000 and EUR 44.000;

Employment relationship governed by the Italian Metalworking Industry Collective Labor Agreement (CCNL Metalmeccanico);

Job level and compensation will be determined based on the candidate's actual experience and skills.
