About the role:

The Business Analyst supports the analysis and documentation of business requirements for technology-enabled initiatives within the Strategic Advisory and Engagement function.

The role works with stakeholders and project teams to understand business processes, needs and issues, and assists with the preparation of clear and accurate documentation to support planning, design and delivery activities. This includes gathering information, documenting requirements, maintaining artefacts and supporting team members as work progresses.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the Business Analyst contributes to work across a range of initiatives, supporting more senior analysts, designers and advisors to ensure business needs are clearly understood, well documented and aligned with agreed direction.

About you:

Can you demonstrate the following?

Applies established business analysis methods, templates and standards to support the documentation of business requirements and related artefacts.

Interprets business processes, information and requirements within agreed frameworks and guidance.

Uses initiative to identify gaps, inconsistencies or areas requiring clarification in requirements and analysis artefacts.

Contributes ideas and observations that support improved understanding of business needs and opportunities.

Builds and applies knowledge of business analysis practices, organisational processes and technology environments.

Applies sound analytical thinking to support decision-making and problem-solving activities.

Qualifications / Specialist Expertise

Tertiary qualification or study in business analysis, information systems, public administration, technology, or a related discipline would be desirable.

Experience in gathering information, analysing processes or preparing structured documentation is required.
