About the role
IN SHORT
As a Data Quality Analyst , you will play a key role in ensuring that data across SEFE is accurate, complete, consistent, and fit for purpose. Combining analytical expertise with business understanding, you will investigate data quality issues, identify root causes, and drive sustainable improvements that enhance trust in data. Your work will support informed decision-making, effective governance, and the delivery of high-quality data across the organisation.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
Perform data profiling and quality assessments to monitor accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, and validity across critical datasets.
Identify, investigate, and resolve data quality issues by conducting root cause analysis and working with stakeholders to implement corrective and preventative actions.
Define, implement, and monitor automated data quality rules and validation checks across data pipelines, reporting environments, and transformation processes.
Develop and maintain data quality dashboards, metrics, and reporting that provide visibility of data quality performance and support governance objectives.
Collaborate with data engineers, business analysts, migration teams, subject matter experts, and system owners to embed quality controls throughout the data lifecycle.
Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to automate validation, cleansing, and exception management processes while promoting best practice data governance and stewardship.
WHAT WILL YOU BRING
Proven experience delivering data quality improvement initiatives, ideally across multiple business environments; experience within a regulated industry is advantageous.
Strong understanding of data profiling, data quality assessment techniques, remediation approaches, and data governance principles.
Hands-on experience using SQL to analyse, validate, reconcile, and investigate data issues.
Familiarity with data quality and governance tools such as Microsoft Purview, along with an understanding of ETL processes and data transformation activities.
Naturally inquisitive, analytical, and methodical, with the ability to translate business requirements into measurable technical validation rules.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and present data-driven insights clearly and effectively.

This is a contract role, initially for 6 months with the potential to extend. Based in our Manchester office, conveniently located close to travel networks we offer the opportunity to follow a hybrid working model.
