About the Role
As an Asset Engineer (Building Services), you will play a critical role in managing the lifecycle performance of UOW’s built environment. You will provide specialist engineering expertise across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fire, vertical transport and building automation systems, ensuring campuses are safe, compliant, and optimised for long-term performance.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver lifecycle asset management including condition assessments, risk evaluation, and renewal planning.
Maintain and enhance asset data quality for planning, reporting, and compliance.
Provide engineering advice and support capital works, design reviews, and project delivery.
Drive continuous improvement in asset management systems and processes.
About the Team
This role sits within the Infrastructure and Property Division, responsible for planning, development and management of the University’s campuses and built environment, supporting teaching, research, and community engagement.
What You’ll Bring
Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent experience).
Experience in asset or facilities engineering within complex environments.
Knowledge of Australian Standards, NCC, WHS and compliance requirements.
Capability in lifecycle asset management and data-driven decision making.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Level 6/7 | $96,898 – $119,986 + 17% superannuation
