About you
You're a developer who takes pride in writing code that actually holds up. You know your way around a full stack, you test as you go, and you don't cut corners on the things that matter, like data isolation and security. You're collaborative without needing hand-holding, and you know when to ask for help rather than spiral silently on a problem. You care about the quality of shared systems, not just closing your own tickets.
You'll be joining a small, cross-functional squad alongside a product manager, designer, and a hands-on engineering manager, with senior engineers close by for technical direction and code review.
What you'll do
Build and ship features and bug fixes across the full stack: database schema, migrations, backend services, APIs, and React UI
Write code with unit and integration tests included as a standard part of delivery
Scope every database query to the organisation, treating data isolation as a hard requirement
Follow established patterns in the codebase and flag violations when you spot them, including in code review
Participate in code review, giving and receiving feedback constructively
Surface blockers and decision points early, within 24 hours, rather than staying stuck or proceeding on shaky assumptions
What you'll bring
Required:
Hands-on experience building TypeScript or JavaScript applications in a team environment
Working knowledge of both backend (Node.js, REST APIs) and frontend (React) development
Familiarity with relational databases and SQL, including writing queries and basic migrations
A solid grasp of why every database query must be scoped to an organisation
Experience with automated testing (unit and/or integration) as part of normal delivery
Familiarity with Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines
Nice to have:
Experience on a SaaS product or customer-facing web application
Relevant university degree or equivalent practical experience
Next Steps:
Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an initial screening call by our internal TA team.
