Start Date: September 14, 2026

For this exciting position, we are specifically targeting students who have a background in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Risk Management, Business Continuity, Disaster and Emergency Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Candidates must be registered at a Canadian post-secondary institution for the entire co-op term. They must plan to return to their studies for at least one academic term after completion. In case you are not presently situated near the work location, you should be prepared to commute or temporarily relocate for the duration of the term. A valid study permit and studentship letter will be required where applicable.

This role, supporting the Digital Risk Practice and Resilience team, provides hands-on experience in cybersecurity, operational resilience, and business operations. The co-op will contribute to initiatives that strengthen our ability to anticipate, withstand, and recover from disruptions, whether they arise from cyber threats, technology failures, or third-party dependencies. Key Responsibilities

Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to, and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures

Champion the three levels of risk management and function as a second-level facilitator, regularly interacting with the first level of defense

Collaborate with team members to plan, implement, and report phishing simulation campaigns, as well as engaging content to communicate cybersecurity threats and standard processes

Collaborate with team members to implement the multi-year global technology resilience initiative, including service design delivery, gaps analysis, disaster recovery technology requirements and implementation, and disaster recovery planning

Assist in the delivery and maintenance of business operations, including maintaining performance and compliance dashboards, developing performance reports and presentations, alongside maintaining various budget management support materials

Assist in documenting procedures and guidelines related to digital risk and resilience

Collaborate with multi-functional teams and maintain and update resilience metrics, key performance indicators, and dashboards

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program related to Computer Science, Cyber Security, Risk Management, Business Continuity, Disaster and Emergency Management, Business Administration, or a similar field

Proven Teck values in being responsible and courageous, respectful and inclusive, and humble and driven

Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to produce clear, concise, and engaging materials

Preliminary understanding of business administration, such as accounting, marketing, and operations management

Basic knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and frameworks

Basic understanding of business continuity and disaster recovery concepts.

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Microsoft collaboration tools (Teams, SharePoint)

Experience with PowerBI is preferred but not required

Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively

Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail

Adaptability and flexibility, the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with diverse groups

Pay Range: CAD $4,108 - $5,183

The actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
