About the role

Your Opportunity:

As a Financial Analyst with the Banking team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of transactions that occur in the various bank accounts for HSS & subsidiaries. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, account reconciliations, processing account transfers, analyzing & resolving account discrepancies, liaising with other departments regarding transactions, as well as monthly and year-end processes. The position requires keen attention to detail, complex problem-solving skills, and the ability to meet time sensitive deadlines. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.

As a Financial Analyst, you will perform routine financial analysis including preparation, analysis and reporting of financial information in accordance with general accounting practices, processes, controls and policies and procedures. Your responsibilities include variance analysis, month end and year end activities, reconciliation of multiple accounts, project support and business support to operating portfolios.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of post-secondary diploma specializing in Accounting or related field (e.g. Economics, Statistics).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum 2 to 3 years' experience with bank account reconciliations. 3 to 5 years' experience in a fast-paced accounting environment. Completion of post-secondary diploma in accounting or related field; an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may also be considered. Advanced MS Excel skills required. Experience with MS Office products, OneDrive, Sharepoint, and Oracle. Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
