About the role

The Account Manager oversees all janitorial and facility cleaning operations for a distribution center environment. This role is responsible for managing cleaning teams, maintaining safety and sanitation standards, ensuring client satisfaction, controlling labor and supply costs, and coordinating daily operational activities to support a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse operation.

Compensation: $80,000 per year salary (US Dollars)

The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. You may be eligible to participate in a Company incentive or bonus program

Shift: Monday - Friday from 8:00AM - 5:00PM EST (will include weekend shifts too)

Operations Management

Oversee daily cleaning operations within the distribution center, including warehouse floors, offices, restrooms, breakrooms, dock areas, and common spaces.

Ensure all cleaning services are completed according to contract specifications, company standards, and client expectations.

Develop and manage cleaning schedules for day, evening, and overnight shifts.

Conduct regular inspections and quality audits to maintain cleanliness standards.

Client Relationship Management

Serve as the primary point of contact for the client and facility leadership.

Conduct routine meetings with client representatives to review performance, address concerns, and identify improvement opportunities.

Respond promptly to service requests, emergencies, and operational issues.

Maintain strong customer satisfaction and retention.

Staff Supervision

Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise janitorial supervisors and cleaning staff.

Monitor employee performance and provide coaching, corrective action, and recognition when appropriate.

Ensure proper staffing levels to meet operational demands.

Promote a positive and safety-focused work environment.

Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, site safety protocols, and company policies.

Conduct safety training and toolbox talks regularly.

Monitor proper handling and storage of chemicals and cleaning equipment.

Maintain documentation related to inspections, incidents, and compliance requirements.

Inventory & Budget Management

Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment.

Control labor and operational costs while maintaining service quality.

Track usage and order supplies as needed.

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting.

Reporting & Communication

Prepare operational reports, staffing updates, inspection results, and KPI metrics.

Communicate effectively with upper management and client stakeholders.

Maintain accurate records of attendance, training, incidents, and service performance.

High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.

3–5 years of experience in janitorial management, facility services, or warehouse cleaning operations.

Experience managing teams in a distribution center, warehouse, or industrial environment preferred.

Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, and safety regulations.

Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if needed.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting systems.
