We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with strong Java expertise to join a remote team supporting enterprise healthcare integration solutions. This role involves designing, developing, and delivering scalable applications while working closely with customers and cross-functional teams.
Required Skills
Minimum 9 years of experience in Java and J2EE development
Mandatory experience with HealthEdge
Strong experience with Java, J2EE, WebLogic, and Linux
Hands-on experience with XML, SOAP, WSDL, JMS, and SQL
Experience with Service Oriented Architecture and Enterprise Application Integration
Experience with system integration, data migration, and complex data analysis
Experience with Spring, Apache Camel, iWay, or Enterprise Service Bus technologies
Knowledge of Apache Karaf and OSGI containers
Experience with Bitbucket, JUnit, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies including Scrum or Kanban
Experience designing and implementing scalable enterprise applications
Knowledge of AI-assisted software development, agentic IDEs, and AI-enabled SDLC practices
Understanding of security, governance, compliance, and auditability for AI-generated code
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise Java applications
Participate in architecture, design discussions, and technical solution planning
Develop scalable integration solutions using SOA and enterprise integration patterns
Perform code reviews and mentor development teams
Support release management, defect resolution, and production readiness
Work with customers to design and implement technical solutions
Support data migration, User Acceptance Testing, and production deployments
Establish best practices for AI-assisted development and autonomous coding workflows
Define governance, quality standards, and review processes for AI-generated code
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
Preferred Skills
Healthcare payer domain experience
Experience with enterprise integration platforms and large-scale distributed systems
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant technical certifications are a plus.
