About Us:
Flanco are a growing civil contracting company servicing the mining & resources sector with various ongoing projects running nationwide with a Perth and Goldfields division.
Flanco are currently seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our team to lead 2-3 supervisors.
Our projects generally run from 3-6 months with crews moving from project to project providing variety and ongoing work.
Flanco runs lean on the ground with small to medium size crews from 5-30. All-rounders and candidates who demonstrate longevity in employment, have strong work ethic and team attitude who enjoy working alongside and helping other formwork carpenters, concreters, steel fixers and operators will be highly regarded.
About You:
You will have knowledge and experience in a diverse range of construction types, such as detailed earthworks, concreting, formwork and steel fixing. This is a working role where you will be leading through action.
Reporting directly to Company Director, the successful candidate will act as a strong and positive example, always demonstrating guidance and leadership. You will be able to lead supervisors to complete a project on time, focusing on quality and budget, mentoring supervisors and crew, whilst ensuring and promoting a safe workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for 2-3 supervisors and crews
Knowledge of overall project, day works
Liaise with Project Managers and Engineers based in the head office
Ensure Project Managers have what they need for claims and variations
Main point of contact for client on site for the project. Responsible for the financial, schedule and safety performance of their area of responsibility
Ensuring the provision of resources and support to enable the project to function efficiently and effectively
Assist with the development and review of the project budgets, cost control
Utilise existing business unit resources to ensure your project environmental, tenement and mining-related approvals for your project are completed in line with the project requirements.
Drive accountability for safety and environmental management both in design and construction through the line management
Regularly engage and provide detailed reporting through to the executive management team
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential problems and lead contingency plans.
Essential Criteria:
Previous Construction Management experience
Previous experience liaising with Client on site.
Previous financial knowledge - budgets, tracking costs.
Experience in detailed earthworks, formwork and concreting.
Previous experience managing day works.
Strength in reading, interpreting & following plans
Trade background advantageous (formwork carpentry and/or concrete)
Clean National Police Clearance, or ability to obtain
Minimum Manual C Class Driver's License. HR license preferred but not essential.

S26 required
Willing to undertake a pre-employment medical and LAB Drug and Alcohol prior to start work and ongoing during employment
