This is an opportunity for a technically minded individual to join us as a Derivatives Pricing Software Engineer
You’ll be designing, producing, testing and implementing working software, working across the lifecycle of the system

What you'll do
Working in a permanent feature team, you’ll be developing knowledge of aspects of the associated platform across the disciplines of business, applications, data and infrastructure. You’ll also be liaising with principal engineers, architects in the domain and other key stakeholders to understand how the platform works and how it supports business objectives.
You’ll also be:
Applying Agile methods to the development of software on the backlog, speaking to traders and other users to design, implement, release and support features
Producing resilient and long-lived software and acting flexibly to cope with future needs
Contributing to re-platforming to improve latency, observability and strengthen cyber-security
Designing and developing software with a focus on the automation of build, test and deployment activities, using executable patterns
The skills you'll need
We’re looking for someone with strong full stack experience in software design and implementation, including the ability to exploit programming languages to solve complex problems. You’ll also need to be capable of complex requirements analysis capture and validation against business and systems requirements.
You’ll be able to provide third line support, using a solid understanding of a complex distributed application ecosystem and business domain knowledge to analyse issues. You’ll develop both short and long-term approaches to resolve problems and strengthen the platform. Alongside this you’ll demonstrate sound collaboration skills, with the ability to work with Front Office groups such as quants, trading, and sales, as well as across multiple technology teams to deliver pragmatic solutions.
Additionally, you’ll demonstrate:
Knowledge of flow rates financial products, including interest rate swaps, STIR futures, and interest rate curves
Strong numeracy skills, with the ability to understand trading dynamics and approaches to pricing fixed income products
An interest in, or knowledge of, interest rate risk and electronic trading
Experience using Java to implement change in large, distributed, real-time applications
The ability to design for scalability, automation, latency and availability
Extensive knowledge of version control and testing techniques as well an understanding of AI tools and foundations of cloud technologies
Strong stakeholder management skills and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a simple way
