Role: Oracle Data Engineer (Exadata)

Location: Mexico – Remote

(Consultant must be based in Mexico)

Number of Positions: 2

Mandatory Skills

Hands-on Oracle Exadata experience (this is the key requirement)

Performance tuning

Data modeling concepts, including techniques used to enhance existing data models for performance and scalability

Indexing strategies

Storage sizing and capacity planning

Summary

Defines enterprise data architecture, models, and standards for Oracle-based systems to ensure scalability, performance, and alignment with business needs.

Core Responsibilities

Design enterprise data models and database architecture (logical + physical)

Define standards, templates, and best practices for database design

Drive data modeling decisions (normalization, indexing, schema design)

Partner with engineering teams on system architecture and integrations

Design for performance, scalability, and availability

Lead data migration and architecture strategy

Govern data integrity, consistency, and quality

Review and approve database designs across teams

Support enterprise architecture initiatives

Required Skills

Advanced Oracle database design and architecture

Data modeling (ERDs, dimensional modeling, normalization/denormalization)

Performance and scalability design patterns

Experience with enterprise data platforms and integrations

Strong understanding of ETL/data movement strategies

Job Type: Contract Contract length: 12 months
