Job Description

The Product Manager for Licensing is responsible for defining and managing Agilent’s licensing and entitlement management capabilities across the software portfolio. This role owns the product lifecycle from strategy, business case, and requirements through development, release, adoption, commercialization, and ongoing improvement.

The role bridges customer needs, business strategy, commercial models, compliance expectations, and technical execution. The Licensing Product Manager will work cross-functionally with Product Management, R&D, Commercial Marketing, Sales, Product Support, Quality, IT, Operations, and partner product teams to deliver a consistent, scalable, and customer-friendly licensing experience.

Key responsibilities

Own the Licensing Product Strategy & Roadmap – Define and manage the licensing product vision, roadmap, and full lifecycle from concept to end-of-life.

Define Licensing & Commercial Models – Develop licensing, entitlement, monetization, pricing, deployment, and standardization strategies across products.

Represent Customer Needs – Gather customer and field feedback, understand laboratory workflows, and use insights and adoption data to improve the licensing experience.

Lead Cross-Functional Delivery – Translate strategy into product requirements, user stories, release plans, and priorities while coordinating stakeholders and dependencies.

Drive Commercial Success – Build business cases, support product launches, enable sales teams, and contribute to pricing and commercialization decisions.

Ensure Compliance & Operational Readiness – Define requirements for compliance, auditability, reporting, validation, documentation, and post-release improvements.

Enable Adoption & Communication – Develop documentation and training, communicate roadmap and priorities, and support organizational readiness.

Qualifications

Bachelor's, Master's, or equivalent qualification with 8+ years of relevant experience.

Strong product management experience across the full product lifecycle.

Knowledge of licensing, SaaS, subscriptions, entitlements, and deployment models.

Experience in commercialization, pricing, business cases, and go-to-market planning.

Understanding of regulated laboratory environments and compliance requirements is an advantage.

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Self-motivated, organized, able to manage competing priorities, and willing to travel up to 25%.

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely.
