About the role
We’re looking for an experienced and commercially savvy People & Culture (P&C) Business Partner to join our Transport & Infrastructure (T&I) team on a 13-month fixed-term parental leave cover .
In this role, you’ll partner closely with senior leaders and operational teams, providing both strategic and hands-on P&C support that drives performance, builds capability, and enhances employee experience across a diverse workforce.
The Role
As a trusted partner, you will work with General Managers and leadership teams to deliver impactful people solutions aligned to business priorities. You’ll play a key role in translating strategy into practical initiatives that strengthen engagement, retention, and organisational capability.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing end-to-end P&C business partnering support across your portfolio
Coaching and advising leaders on performance management, employee relations, and workforce planning
Supporting the delivery of strategic P&C initiatives across capability, inclusion, and engagement
Driving talent, attraction and retention strategies in collaboration with the recruitment team
Leading and supporting change initiatives, including organisational design and restructures
Building strong, influential relationships across the business to enable effective decision-making
Ensuring compliance with policies, legislation, and best practice HR approaches
About You
You’re a proactive and solutions-focused P&C professional with a strong track record in business partnering within a complex, fast-paced environment.
You will bring:
Experience in a HR/People & Culture Business Partner role
Strong coaching, influencing and stakeholder management skills
Demonstrated ability to deliver both strategic initiatives and operational outcomes
A commercial mindset with the ability to navigate complex people challenges
A passion for building capability and improving employee experience
Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business or a related discipline (preferred)
