The role

Join Adbri and take the lead in delivering high-quality tax compliance and reporting across a complex, multi-entity corporate environment.

Reporting to the Group Tax Manager and working closely with senior stakeholders, you will play a critical role in owning income tax, tax effect accounting and financial reporting, while driving improvements across systems, processes and governance.

This is a highly visible role where you will partner closely with finance teams and senior stakeholders, take ownership of key deliverables, and contribute to strategic tax initiatives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

This role is designed to strengthen the Adbri’s internal tax capability and support the increasing complexity and scale of the business as it continues to grow.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end delivery of Group income tax compliance and quarterly tax effect accounting, including preparation and review

Manage tax balances, journals and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy across financial reporting and forecasting

Support integration of acquisitions, aligning tax processes, compliance obligations and resolving legacy issues

Operate within a SOX-controlled framework, supporting governance, documentation and internal control testing requirements

Provide technical tax advice and oversight, while reviewing and mentoring junior team members

What you will need to succeed

Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline with 4 to 6 years’ experience in corporate tax or professional services

Strong technical expertise in Australian income tax, with working knowledge of GST and FBT and experience in tax effect accounting

Proven ability to manage deadlines and deliver accurate outcomes in a complex, multi-entity environment

Confident communicator with experience engaging internal stakeholders, auditors, advisors and regulatory bodies

Advanced analytical skills with strong systems capability, including Excel and ideally SAP or OneSource
