Job Summary
BP PLC is seeking an experienced Release Manager to guide our agile development teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and delivering value efficiently. You will be instrumental in facilitating scrum ceremonies, removing impediments, and ensuring adherence to agile principles to drive successful project outcomes.
Job Responsibilities
Facilitate daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint review, and sprint retrospective meetings.
Coach and mentor development teams on agile principles, Scrum framework, and best practices.
Remove impediments and roadblocks that hinder team progress.
Foster a collaborative and self-organizing team environment.
Work closely with Product Owners to ensure a clear and prioritized product backlog.
Monitor and report on team progress, burndown charts, and other relevant metrics.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team and across the organization.
Support the implementation and evolution of configuration management and release processes.
Contribute to the development of talent strategy and organizational knowledge related to agile methodologies.
Engage in market scanning to identify new agile practices and tools.
Collaborate on user experience design and testing and quality assurance activities.
Apply analytical thinking to identify and resolve complex issues.
Support business development initiatives through effective project delivery.
Job Qualifications**
Proven experience as a Scrum Master in a complex organizational environment.
Deep understanding and practical application of Agility core practices.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
Experience with configuration management and release processes.
Proficiency in data analysis to track and report on team performance.
Familiarity with Design Thinking principles.
Demonstrated ability in leading transformation initiatives.
Experience with market scanning and adoption of best practices.
Understanding of organizational knowledge management.
Solid grasp of Product Ownership principles and backlog management.
Experience in project and programme management.
Ability to contribute to talent strategy development.
Knowledge of testing and quality assurance methodologies.
Familiarity with User Experience Design concepts.
