Role Purpose and Key Responsibilities
As Accountant – Southeast Asia (Part‑Time), you will oversee accounting operations across Southeast Asia entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance and strong financial controls. You will partner closely with regional stakeholders to provide insight, support business performance and contribute to strategic decision‑making.
This is a broad, hands‑on role spanning financial reporting, analysis, compliance and operations within a multi‑entity, international environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver accurate monthly financial reporting, including general ledger management, accruals, intercompany transactions and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
Lead year‑end close activities, including financial statements, audits and regulatory submissions across Southeast Asia entities.
Provide financial analysis and performance insight, partnering with regional teams to support decision‑making and business strategy.
Manage tax, statutory and compliance requirements, including VAT/GST filings and engagement with auditors and local authorities.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and treasury activities while maintaining strong internal controls.
Support system and process improvements, including ERP implementation and maintaining financial systems and fixed asset registers.
About You
You are a commercially minded and detail‑focused accountant who is comfortable operating in a multi‑entity, international environment. You are proactive, independent and able to work collaboratively with stakeholders across regions.
Skills & Experience:
Qualified Accountant with experience across financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
Strong understanding of accounting standards (IFRS) and compliance in international and regional contexts.
Experience managing multiple entities, including reconciliations, tax filings and audit processes.
Strong analytical and modelling skills, with advanced Excel capability.
Experience working with ERP or cloud‑based accounting systems (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks or similar).
Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to translate data into clear business insight.
