About the Role

Working across our underground operation, you will provide specialist advice and execute analysis and benchmarking of end-to-end performance that support the integrity, safety, and performance of Prominent Hill. You will identify and implement a portfolio of improvement initiatives that enable excellence and support business priorities for continuous improvement.

This position is based at Prominent Hill, operating on an 8/6 FIFO roster. This role will be offered initially as a 12 month fixed-term contract.

In this role you will:

Compile reports & provide expertise to other teams in analysis of production performance indicators and metrics.

Analyse and determine equipment capability assumptions.

Conduct data analysis & interpretation to support reporting requirements and improvement initiatives.

Prepare inputs to form the budget and provide forecast updates and budget analysis.

Identify and deliver improvement opportunities using the BHP Operating System (BOS) practices.

Assess and manage execution, change and project risk.

Identify safe operational practices, including field leadership activities.

Working closely with contractors to ensure that new ideas are developed and practically implemented.

About You

Degree qualification in Engineering or other closely related tertiary qualification related to mining.

Underground mining knowledge and experience is preferred

Ability to work independently and have experience meeting individual and team KPIs.

Strong communication skills which allow effective engagement with all levels of management.

Financial experience is advantageous but not essential.

Thorough understanding of the mine development and production cycle is preferred.

Experience in managing and implementing improvement initiatives highly regarded.

Attention to detail and the demonstrated ability to work with data.

Experience with Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, Webex, Deswik and similar is preferred.
