About the role
PURPOSE:
Provide extensive financial planning and analysis to support NAM Retail Brick & Mortar stores, specifically focusing on sales, margin and inventory.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive the monthly store forecast and reporting processes as well as utilize and develop financial tools to analyze retail KPIs, store modeling and fleet sales performance
Collaborate cross-functionally with retail business partners (Merchandising, Operations, Omnichannel, etc.) to develop accurate forecasts and budgets
Provide independent analytical approach to review critical retail topics such as market and store level analysis, key retail metrics drivers, and the correlation between sales, margin, and inventory
Partner with the retail business to consult and design financial models for key strategic initiatives
Support retail forecast and financial data submission obligations throughout the corporate systems landscape (SAC, IBP, TM1, etc.)
Drive business results by evaluting sales and margin trends to identify risks and opportunities within the retail business

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
:
Demonstrated analytical skills, comfort with Finance and/or Accounting principles and good understanding and experience with retail math and retail financial drivers
Proven ability to operate cross functionally, join data from various sources and develop creative and innovative solutions within an entrepreneurial environment
Effective communication and collaboration skills across various business partners with differing priorities
Strong prioritization skills and the ability to accomplish assignments simultaneously under tight timelines
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, stakeholders, sales representatives, peers, clients and customers
Understanding in fundamental database design and development. Ability to gather data from multiple sources and manipulate the data to develop demand-driven and action-based reporting and analysis
Advanced skills in Excel. Proficient skills in SAP, PowerPoint and TM1 (or other reporting software)
At adidas we offer a Hybrid work policy which requires attendance in the office Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Friday each week. For work requiring a high degree of collaboration or an in-person presentation, in-office attendance is required even on Friday
REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field
5-7 years related experience
Industry specific experience preferred
Solid accounting skills and experience a plus
Technical proficiency in Excel, Power BI, SAP
Databricks and SQL knowledge a plus
Experience with TM1 preferred
