What you will be doing:

As a Senior Manager, Flight Operations Strategy, you will sit at the intersection of aviation, strategy, transformation and execution. You will lead some of the most significant initiatives across Flight Operations and help deliver Virgin Australia’s long term strategic vision.

This is a rare opportunity for a commercially minded aviation professional, management consultant, transformation leader or strategic project executive who thrives on solving complex problems, influencing senior stakeholders and delivering meaningful change in a highly regulated operational environment.

A key focus will be leading high priority strategic initiatives and driving strategic transformation across Flight Operations, helping shape future operating models, improve performance, unlock opportunities and deliver lasting business outcomes.

Reporting to the Head of Flight Operations Strategy & Transformation on a full time, 2 year maximum term contract, you will be:

Leading Flight Operations' highest-priority strategic programs and transformation initiatives

Identifying and executing strategic opportunities that enhance operational performance and support Virgin Australia's long-term growth

Providing strategic, financial and analytical insights to support executive decision-making

Influencing senior stakeholders and managing key relationships across the business, industry and regulatory landscape

Driving measurable outcomes through disciplined program governance, execution and benefits realisation

You'll be great in this role if you have:

5+ years experience in Strategy, Transformation, Corporate Development or Consulting environments

Experience at a Tier 1 Consulting firm would be highly desirable

Proven experience leading large scale projects, programs or business transformations

Strong aviation industry experience, ideally within airline operations or flight operations

Experience engaging with executive stakeholders and influencing complex decision making

Demonstrated success delivering outcomes in highly regulated operational environments

Experience managing cross functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholder groups
