Manager, Quality Assurance

As a Manager, Quality Assurance, you will join our dynamic team to lead quality assurance initiatives in software development for ship survey and engineering solutions. This role blends manual and automation testing expertise with modern DevOps practices to ensure product excellence.

What You Will Do:

Lead and manage QA activities across manual and automation testing streams.

Develop and maintain test strategies, plans, and scripts using Jira and X-Ray.

Implement and optimize automation frameworks using Selenium and Playwright.

Oversee defect tracking and resolution processes.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.

Manage test repositories and version control using GitHub.

Ensure traceability of requirements using Jira, X-Ray, and Confluence.

Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.

Conduct risk-based testing and impact analysis.

Mentor and guide QA engineers on best practices and tools.

Drive continuous improvement in QA processes and methodologies.

Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Report on quality metrics and KPIs to stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Support product delivery teams with timely and high-quality releases.

Balances the need for high quality and reliability with the business's need for speed and iterative delivery.

What You Will Need:

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 12 years of experience in software quality assurance including 5 years management experience.

Proven experience in both manual and automation testing.

Strong leader in QA Process and Strategies to remodel everything from scratch.

Hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, Jira, X-Ray, and GitHub.

Experience in managing QA teams and working in Agile environments.

Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions.

Strong trainer and administrative experience to lead a larger Team.

Experience in the marine or engineering domain is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Project Management Planning, estimation, work allocation, execution, and reporting.

Team Management - Build team structures, appraisals, coaching, conflict resolution.

Hands-on experience with functional, performance, accessibility, and security testing.

Proficiency in one of these languages or equivalent: Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python.

Experience with Unit, API, and Web UI testing using Selenium, Playwright.

Deep understanding of QA methodologies and SDLC.

Proficiency in test management and automation tools.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team.

Reporting Relationships:

Will report to Manager II, Product Delivery (Quality Assurance).

Working Conditions:

The work environment will primarily be an air-conditioned office setting requiring the employee to sit for prolonged periods while concentrating on a computer screen.
