Job Title: Men’s Purchase Manager

Job Summary:

The Men’s Dress Purchase Manager is responsible for planning, sourcing, and procuring high-quality Men’s dress apparel and accessories, including suits, shirts, trousers, ties, and shoes. This role ensures optimal inventory levels, negotiate with suppliers, analyzes fashion trends, and collaborates with internal teams to meet sales, margin, and customer satisfaction targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Vendor & Supplier Management:

Identify, negotiate, and maintain relationships with local and international suppliers.

Evaluate supplier performance (pricing, quality, delivery timelines)

Product Sourcing & Selection:

Source new men’s dress wear products aligned with brand image and customer preferences.

Collaborate with designers and merchandisers to select seasonal collections.

Attend trade shows, fashion events, and market visits

Inventory & Stock Planning:

Forecast demand based on historical sales data and market trends.

Plan and manage inventory levels to avoid overstocking or stockouts.

Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery.

Cost & Budget Management:

Develop and manage purchasing budgets.

Monitor and optimize cost margins through strategic purchasing.

Market & Trend Analysis:

Monitor fashion trends and competitor offerings in men’s formalwear.

Provide insights and recommendations to guide merchandising and marketing.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with marketing, sales, and e-commerce teams to plan promotions.

Partner with the design team for custom or private label collections.

Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.

3 to 5+ years of experience in apparel buying or fashion purchasing (Menswear preferred).

Strong understanding of men’s dress apparel, fashion trends, and customer behavior.

Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.

Strong analytical and financial acumen.

Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior relationships with menswear brands or manufacturers.

Passion for men's fashion and formalwear.

Inventory turnover rate

Sell-through rate

Vendor lead time and delivery accuracy

Gross margin return on investment (GMROI)
