About the role
Key ResponsibilitiesInternal (Office) Responsibilities
Receive material indents from Site Engineers and Project Teams.
Obtain quotations from multiple vendors for the required materials.
Prepare Comparative Statements (CS) for price, quality, and delivery evaluation.
Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
Obtain management approval for the selected vendor.
Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (PO) to approved vendors.
Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites.
Follow up with sites for receipt of materials and collection of Goods Receipt Notes (GRN).
Verify quantities, rates, and invoices before processing.
Submit GRNs and invoices to the Accounts Department for payment processing.
Ensure timely payments to vendors and resolve payment-related issues.
Maintain procurement records, vendor databases, and purchase reports.
Monitor material costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
External (Field) Responsibilities
Visit vendor facilities for quality inspections and assessments.
Meet and develop new vendors to establish long-term business relationships.
Collect material samples along with relevant test certificates.
Coordinate with laboratories and vendors for quality testing and certification.
Conduct regular site visits (minimum two times per week) to monitor material requirements and delivery status.
Visit vendor locations directly in case of material supply delays or urgent requirements.
Attend vendor meetings, product launches, exhibitions, trade fairs, and industry events to identify new products and suppliers.
Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, delivery, and service standards.
Key Responsibilities in Civil Procurement
Procurement of Cement, Steel, M-Sand, River Sand, Aggregates, Bricks, Blocks, Tiles, Plumbing Materials, Electrical Materials, Paints, Hardware, and Finishing Materials.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Stores, and Accounts Departments.
Maintain optimum inventory levels and avoid material shortages.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
MBA in Supply Chain/Operations is preferred.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
