Job Description

You will build the platform and backend services powering DigitalGenius's no-code automation engine and analytics platform. Working within a functional Scala stack, you will own the architecture of distributed systems, design scalable APIs, and integrate with third-party customer support tools. This role offers high autonomy to impact the core product used by major global retail brands.

What You Will Do

Design and implement maintainable, scalable microservices and RESTful APIs using a modern functional Scala stack and the Typelevel ecosystem (http4s, Cats Effect, FS2).

Architect the integration layer between third-party customer support tools and the proprietary DigitalGenius AI platform to ensure seamless, real-time agentic interactions.

Collaborate directly with product stakeholders to build new features for the no-code platform, analytics engines, and internal data management functionality.

The ideal candidate

You have at least 2 years of professional experience with Scala and a strong command of functional programming principles and the Typelevel library ecosystem.

You possess hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, AWS, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform to manage and deploy microservices-based distributed systems.

You are a pragmatic engineer who reasons about software from first principles and takes genuine end-to-end ownership of the systems and features you deliver.
