Overview
Job Summary
ln charge of inventory planning in distribution centers and local hubs to cover demand of IVD markets under his/her responsibility, maximizing service level and minimizing stocks and costs related to transportation and scrap. He/She will report to the Supply Planning Manager
Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities
Plan and implement supply chain optimization projects.
Develop requirements and standards relating to data analysis.
Applies different procurement strategies based on both businesses and suppliers.
Actively follows and participates on the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process
Maintains and updates fields in the SAP's part master used for inventory planning and purchasing purposes.
Creates purchase orders and requisitions in SAP, ensuring supplier's compliance with regards to quantities ordered and lead-times.
Guarantees material arriving to Distribution Centers complies with defined expiration and lead-time policies.
Collaborate with IT departments to implement effective systems.
Prepares and presents comprehensive reports and statistics to Senior Management.
Reviews inventory and expiration levels through KPl’s to estimate potential utilization.
Identifies current and potential shortages, develops, and executes recovery, and advises interested parties of status and recovery plans.
Keeps a constant interaction with Distribution, Customer Service, Sales, Marketing and QA ' standardizes procedures and tools avoiding parallel processes.
Adds creative insights and contributes to priority projects.
Networking/Key relationships
This position requires interaction and collaboration with Supply Chain, Operations, IT, Controlling and Business partners.
Qualifications
Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:
Degree in Engineering, Economics or Business Administration.
At least 3 years of experience in a planning role.
At least 3 years of experience dealing with national and international suppliers.
Acumen of logistics and supply chain principles.
Knowledge of computer applications, Microsoft Office, and Sap R3.
Fluent in English and Spanish.
