About the role
We are looking for a Fire Business Lead to take full ownership of our Fire services offering, driving performance across work winning, mobilisation, delivery, and ongoing service.
This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for growing the Fire business, delivering safely and compliantly, and ensuring strong commercial performance. You will act as the single point of accountability across Fire operations, aligning delivery, client needs, and strategic growth.
What you'll be doing
Lead and develop the Fire business strategy, driving growth across frameworks, tenders, and client relationships
Take full accountability for the delivery of Fire services including installation, commissioning, maintenance, and reactive works
Ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality delivery in line with fire safety legislation and Balfour Beatty standards
Manage operational performance including programmes, resources, subcontractors, and supply chain
Oversee commercial performance including P&L, budgets, forecasting, and cost control
Act as the senior escalation point for operational and commercial matters
Build and maintain strong client relationships as the key senior contact
Lead and develop teams, driving performance, capability, and succession planning
Promote a culture of Zero Harm and continuous improvement
Who we're looking for
Essential:
Proven experience delivering Fire services, Fire engineering, or Fire systems
Strong leadership experience across multi-site or project environments
Demonstrable commercial acumen, including budgeting and margin control
Sound knowledge of fire safety legislation and compliance requirements
Experience in work winning, tendering, and client engagement
Desirable:
Formal fire safety qualifications or accreditation
Experience within construction, infrastructure, or facilities environments
Understanding of integrated service delivery models (e.g. Fire & TSS)
