Your work
A Technical Lead Product Owner plays a pivotal role in driving the success of product development and technology initiatives. You are responsible for setting and maintaining a strong Cluster vision, ensuring that the cluster aligns with both customer needs and business goals. This role involves managing the group of Product Owners while also governing a product backlog, prioritizing features based on their value, and providing clear acceptance criteria to guide a development team. Additionally, the Technical Lead Product Owner collaborates closely with internal and external stakeholders to gather insights and feedback, ensuring that the platforms evolve in a way that maximizes impact. You also play a crucial role in addressing dependencies across initiatives, facilitating deep dives to clarify objectives, and ensuring an integrated approach to realizing strategic ambitions. Effective communication and the ability to inspire and align teams are essential qualities for this role.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting decision-making boards with structured problem statements and clear scenarios/options.
Serving as a trusted advisor to product owners and engaging with key stakeholders in the execution of our platform strategy.
Creating insight, oversight, and control over end-to-end change.
Ensuring there is a clear roadmap and up-to-date and relevant overviews of status, decisions, impediments, and dependencies.
Analyzing priority conflicts, strategic transition options, and dilemmas, and providing advice to decision-makers on the optimal way forward.
Addressing dependencies across initiatives to ensure an integrated approach in realizing our strategic ambitions.
Initiating and facilitating deep dives to ensure clarity on objectives and the required collaboration across the organization.
Aligning initiatives with the quarterly business review portfolio planning.
Obtaining synergies by sharing relevant insights into deliverables of teams throughout the organization across initiatives and departments.
Contributing to our strategic Key Performance Indicators by ensuring timely delivery in line with global priorities.
Installing discipline in the way we steer and execute our change initiatives by applying global standards for managing change.
Developing a learning mindset and ensuring we actively learn what is needed to successfully realize our strategy.

AABN AMRO Clearing is a global leader in clearing, delivering integrated services in execution, custody, financing, and risk management across APAC, EU, and the US. With around 900 employees, it operates as a self-sufficient entity within ABN AMRO. Known for its robust infrastructure and trusted market access, it enables safe and transparent trading. The Technical Lead Product Owner drives the strategic vision and alignment of the IT cluster. Your cluster consists of three blocks, one of which you may be Product Owner of yourself. The cluster has a strong focus on innovation and cloud. Three blocks are:
Public Cloud Platform - The purpose of the Public cloud block within the Platform Grid is to provide global, secure, stable, resilient, compliant and consumable platform built on AWS public cloud that respects requirements from our external and internal regulators and many internal stakeholders who work on their workloads and initiatives on the platform. This block provides a governed cloud platform that empowers development teams to build and run critical workloads while ensuring alignment with regulatory, risk, and enterprise policies.
Private Cloud Platform - The Private Cloud block is responsible for enhancing the company's IT infrastructure and services using Redhat Openshift. This block focuses on providing a secure and scalable platform for containerization, automation, and secure application development. It also supports CI/CD pipelines and offers a developer and collaboration platform to facilitate strategic ways of working.
Infra Services – The infra services block provides the traditional hosting services up until the Operating System layer. This block plays a critical role in providing a secure, resilient, scalable, and cost‑effective infrastructure across on‑premise environments (CDC & PDC), private cloud, and public cloud platforms. Infra Services collaborates closely with other blocks within the Platform Grid to support the bank’s essential clearing operations, both now and in the future, by ensuring that the underlying infrastructure is consistently maintained, compliant, and capable of supporting evolving business and regulatory requirements.
Your profile
We are seeking a strategic partner to the CTO to support decision-making, shape strategy, and drive organisational direction and transformation, while managing key partners and stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a strong organiser and communicator with a collaborative, execution-focused mindset - able to structure complexity, align stakeholders, and turn strategy into results. Experience in an IT infrastructure or technology-driven environment is preferred.You get energy from driving technology further.

You work and reason at a university level and have more than 5 years of experience providing advice from the perspective of multiple disciplines.
You have broad business knowledge and are able to understand how this translates into governance, data, processes, organization, and technology.
You drive the execution of change control procedures and assess change performance against key performance benchmarks.
You have proven knowledge and a vision on the use of databases in a corporate environment.
You have a proven track record in successfully realizing complex (Agile) change initiatives with an organizational-wide impact.
You are pragmatic and able to keep clear oversight within large change initiatives and realize concrete actions - creating impact that ultimately benefits our customer’s experience.
You have experience being a sparring partner for senior management and a natural (informal) leader.
You collaborate across silos, connect stakeholders, and drive smooth execution through change.

The opportunity to contribute to the execution of our strategy within an international environment. In this role, the candidate can further develop expertise in change management while working closely with the globally oriented Clearing Platform team.

An attractive gross monthly salary based on a 36 hour work week, including holiday allowance and a flexible benefit budget. (see above in the vacancy). A 40 hour work is also possible.
