PMO Data Analyst

SYSTRA Canada is part of the SYSTRA group, an international consulting and engineering group, a world leader in the design of transport infrastructures. SYSTRA Canada is an engineering and consulting firm whose primary focus is to offer transportation solutions, whether for passengers or goods: feasibility studies of building a new railway line, increasing the capacity of the existing infrastructure, privatization of a railway.

Context:

The ALTO project is a major infrastructure initiative in Canadian history, aimed at developing over 1,000 km of new passenger rail service between major urban centers, including Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec City.

Missions/Main Duties:

Support the Project Management Office (PMO) in its data management tasks, including data transformation, structuring, and analysis.

Ensure the consistency, integrity, and standardization of project data to meet the PMO’s needs.

Automate processes and promote best practices in data management using tools such as Power Query and Power Automate.

Develop financial analyses and key performance indicators (KPIs) for PMO leadership and project teams.

Design analytical visualizations (metadata) using Power BI to assess the current status, target objectives, and progress of data assets.

Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data needs and propose appropriate solutions.

Ensure the documentation and traceability of processes and data flows to facilitate auditing and maintenance.

Optimize existing tools (Excel, SharePoint, etc.) to improve team efficiency and data quality.

Ensure data security and compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations.

Profile/Skills:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in data science, engineering, computer science, statistics, or a related field.

Years of experience: 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role.

Technical skills:

Excellent proficiency in Excel: features, advanced formulas, and analysis.

Skills in data management, structuring, and ensuring data reliability.

Knowledge of databases and workflows.

Proficiency in Power Query and Power Automate.

Experience producing reports for the Project Management Office (PMO) and Project Management.

Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing, in French and English*
