This position is for a Control Room Operator based at Royal Bank Plaza in downtown Toronto

About the role

You will act as a building systems expert in identifying deficiencies and opportunities for improvement. Ensure that the tenants have a safe and comfortable work environment for Royal Bank Plaza. Responsible for operating and maintaining all building equipment and systems in a manner that ensures all quality standards are upheld on a 12-hour rotating Continental shift between two weeks of day shift (7am-7pm) and two weeks of night shifts (7pm-7am). Weekend and Stat holiday coverage will be required if the scheduled shift falls on those days. Please note, overtime hours may be required.

You build positive working relationships not only with tenants but also with your team members, sharing your expertise and collaborating as a group.

You work with minimal supervision and bring your technical expertise to a high-performing team.

You are comfortable working with technology and seek innovative ways to enhance processes.

What you’ll bring

Minimum of 5-10 years of related experience in building operations and maintenance of facilities with commercial assets such as data centers and/or class A+ office buildings

BES 1&2 or 4th Class Power Engineer certificate

Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot/ identify opportunities and develop/implement action plans

Proficient user of a Building Automation System

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Ability to multitask and be responsive to time-sensitive tasks.

Flexible in working hours and able to respond to emergencies after hours

Downtown Toronto office experience

Approximate Salary Range for Role: $67,629 - $80,000

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
