POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sales Enablement Manager is responsible for promoting the success of State Industrial’s sales force by identifying, designing, developing, and implementing tools, technologies, and training programs that develop talent, improve sales performance, and better the profitability of the organization. This role ensures that sales professionals are equipped with in-depth knowledge of the company’s products, programs, and services, and are proficient in applying sales strategies and using the latest tools to grow and retain business.
Acting as a key liaison between Sales, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams, the Sales Enablement Manager identifies organizational needs, provides customized learning solutions, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement. Success in this role is achieved through education, observation, mentorship, and a data-driven approach to optimizing sales effectiveness.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Champion a continuous learning culture across the sales organization through strategic training initiatives
Design and develop a comprehensive enablement toolkit to improve sales team efficiency and effectiveness
Lead adoption and utilization of sales technologies to enhance performance and productivity
Create and deliver training programs aligned with State’s mission, values, and strategic goals
Provide ongoing training, mentorship, and continuing education for new and tenured sales professionals using in-person, virtual, and digital platforms
Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for improving sales techniques and product knowledge
Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to align training efforts with business priorities
Coach Account Managers and Sales Managers directly to reinforce key skills and behaviors
Stay informed on industry trends and competitive learning strategies to maintain a cutting-edge enablement program
Manage curriculum development, training enrollment, and participant progress tracking
Develop reporting and analytics to measure training effectiveness and impact across the organization
Conduct financial analyses related to training projects to evaluate ROI and strategic value
Lead Sales Enablement team, including a Sales Enablement Team Lead and Sales Enablement Specialist
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree required; coursework in sciences, marketing, communications, or adult learning preferred
Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, training, learning and development, or related field
Proven ability to design and deliver impactful learning programs and curricula
Technologically adept; capable of configuring, implementing, and supporting new sales technologies
Experience with distance learning platforms and learning management systems (LMS)
Strong written communication and presentation skills; able to engage large groups
Skilled in facilitating interactive, learner-centered experiences, in digital, hybrid, or in-person contexts
Able to master and teach State’s chemical, dispensing, and control technologies
Strong analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Field sales experience or ability to demonstrate field-based selling techniques
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and State-specific software; able to learn specialized learning platforms
Willingness to travel up to 20% throughout the United States and Canada
