Job Description
Responsible for analyzing, tracking, and managing costs associated with production, manufacturing, and business operations. This role involves developing cost accounting systems, preparing detailed cost reports, and providing critical insights that optimize operational efficiency and profitability through accurate cost management.
Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.
1. Support and understand standard cost inventory valuation, manufacturing variances, absorption, and manufacturing efficiencies.
2. Perform annual standard cost rollups with the team.
3. Perform analysis on operational results and be able to work with the team to formulate and execute improvements and corrective actions.
4. Work with management to understand and improve operations.
5. Maintain and analyze standard costs and BOM structures and routing sequences.
6. Reconcile inventory and manufacturing variance accounts and be able to work with the Operations team to impact/improve variances, absorption, and improve efficiencies.
7. Prepare journal entries related to inventory, reserves, and accruals.
8. Analyze labor, overhead, and purchase price variances and be able to investigate and communicate the results to management.
9. Partner with Operations to improve inventory accuracy and costing processes.
10. Support physical inventory counts and cycle counting program.
11. Work with Management to support the Internal Control Process and lead company testing and documentation.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Education -
Required: Bachelor of Science in Accounting
Experience -
Required: Minimum of 5 years with a large manufacturing organization.
Required: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilites.
Highly motivated individual with a strong sense of urgency and accountability.
Strong understanding of manufacturing variances and capitalized inventory.
