About the role
The Sales Operations Analyst supports the sales team by creating and delivering content, expertise, programs, and tools to improve sales and deliver on company's goals. They set the direction and policies for sales activities, and manage the execution of these plans. They utilize their knowledge of company products, services, support and technology to set and optimize the achievement of sales goals.
General Responsibilities
Key Participant in budgeting, planning, and analysis activities for sales operations.
Analyzes sales-related expenses associated with the order pipeline, bookings, revenue forecasting, revenue reporting, sales productivity and goal attainment.
Performs regular variance analysis for expenses and budgets.
Evaluates pricing structures to ensure fit with company objectives.
Effectively incorporates client delivery schedules and operational changes into future revenue forecasts and revenue timeline considerations.
Maintains and enhances sales force automation systems, product/service costing models, and margin management tools/systems to effectively monitor and manage revenue/expenses.
Experience / Qualifications
A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
Partners with cross-functional stakeholders to gather, document, and translate business requirements into scalable solutions.
Supports CRM and sales technology enhancements through testing, validation, and implementation support.
Builds and maintains reports, dashboards, and analysis to improve visibility into pipeline, forecasting, and operational performance.
Develops and maintains process documentation, standard operating procedures, and training materials to support user adoption.
Monitors data quality and supports governance initiatives to improve process compliance and system adoption.
Drives process standardization and continuous improvement across revenue operations workflows and systems.
