Eaton’s Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a IT Project Lead (infrastructure).

Job summary
The Infrastructure Edge Service organization has an exciting project management position available. This role is responsible for leading impactful and complex projects that directly impact the productivity of Eaton sites and employees globally. The Edge Project Manager will deploy Edge Technologies that include: voice, servers, storage, wired and wireless networking, WAN, firewall. This involves executing projects across the globe with remote teams, resources and vendors to ensure business objectives are met. This role is critical to ensuring that Eaton's IT Infrastructure is kept up to date in order to support Eaton's Digital Transformation objectives while enabling continued business growth.

The Edge Services Project Manager will be responsible to:
Leverage Eaton’s bi-modal (Agile and PMBOK) management process to ensure business objectives are met
Where appropriate, be part of a Scrum team – Serve the team through the Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog and deliver value
Work with Resource Managers to staff projects
Define and communicate roles for project team members (functional-technical)
Establish project plan, budget, track spend and communicate current and project burn rates
Work with customers, business relationship managers (BRMs), technical teams and vendors to develop project plans, detailing work breakdown structure / feature map and critical path to value delivery
Maximize the delivery of defined scope, budget, schedule, learning, use and value of edge technology
Job responsibilities
Draft the project charter; ensure requirements / features are aligned with the business outcomes and approved by the sponsor
Work with resource managers to staff projects. Define and communicate roles for project teams
Develop the project plan with direct input from stakeholders that details the work breakdown structure / feature map, critical path, people, resources, and effort. Ensure stakeholders are committed to the plan
Establish project budget; capital hardware, software, and labor; expense labor and non-labor
Develop communication strategies with key stakeholders
Manage employee, contractor, and supplier deliverables
Manage the project budget; track effort and green dollar spend; correlate actuals and forecast to the plan (burn rate)
Lead communications with key stakeholders. Monitor and report on schedule and budget variances. Ensure all communications related to implementation are completed
Document and drive issues through resolution; escalate to customer, supplier, and Eaton management as necessary
Develop and manage the implementation plan including production verification. Manage issues at go-live and through warranty period
Ensure sign-off on all major system deliverables by stakeholders
Ensure all invoices are received and processed
Ensure smooth transition to support and that the CMDB is updated
Ensure learning, use and value have been satisfied with all pertinent stakeholders, review missed estimates with resource managers
If a capital project, ensure Capital Allocation Request (CAR) is managed
Qualifications:
Education level required
Bachelor Degree
PMP certificate (Preferred)
Agile/Scrum certified (Preferred)
Years and area of experience required
3-5 years previous Project Management work experience
6-10 years of work experience
New to Role - moving from a different role
Technical knowledge
Basic understanding of some of the Edge IT Infrastructure products
Basic understanding of integration and impact points of involved systems for a division and/or region or function
Basic Understanding of how to acquire and assimilate industry software practices and standards
Basic technical knowledge and basic understanding of computer hardware and software, data management, application programming, data communications, operating systems, utilities and data security
